Sarmad, Michigan may be a special exception owing to an unusual geological formation in the Detroit area, allowing for huge underground storage of natural gas. Gas is collected and inserted into this natural storage area during the summer months when demand is low. If there is a shortage, it won't be noticed in Michigan until the underground reservoir is sufficiently depleted so that replenishment may have to take place at higher rates. Art
