Ruffian, Rosedeng did quote the article correctly - especially the last paragraph. I found the original article on ZTE's website. I hope the reference to China Telecom is real, not just rhetoric. On the other hand, I seriously doubt that ZTE could take the liberty of implicating China Telecom if the latter is not involved in Z's effort of producing the "split-card" handsets based on CDMA.
