And btw- as far as I can see we don't celebrate 12 days of Christmas anymore- although the COLONIALS did. I wonder- could that have something to do with the INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION???? and needing to shorten the Holiday??? hmmmm Could it be?

Your whole 12 days of Christmas cuts against your argument (and why you would seem to argue this I've NO idea)that Christmas has always been as we celebrate it today- complete with paper wrapped gifts, cards, lights, excessive food intake.
