I remember your sisters driving that narrow gauge MG - I believe one of them was class president - to high school. (I'll bet you didn't know Ann Coulter was there too - before she was blond). And I remember comparing bicycles at the country club. Yours was a foreign 10 speed. Mine was a Schwinn Orange Krate. btw, that $89.95 Orange Krate is now worth in excess of $3000. An Orange Krate with a disc brake, also NOS, sold for $8,700.thecabe.com (sic) drum brake.>> BIN....GO!!!! That's me/us - "the Smarts". Wacky, different and crazy. Impossible to nail down, define, bend or control. There's some incredible spiritual/material seeds that went into this combination on both sides of our family. My father, who passed away on Labor Day in 1996, was one of THE most positive individuals you could ever meet. His "religion" was FREEDOM, creativity, entrepreneurship which he freely smoked, drank, ate and shared with others. I don't know if you met my mother, but she was the light, love and family my father - an only child who lost his dad when he was very young - never had. Go back over your own family energy/light tree and you will be amazed at the serendipity, randomness and stories that just flow together for the strangest of reasons. But the interesting thing is that there IS always a mysterious, intelligent pattern, rhyme and reason behind everything. Mankind is moving out of the Wizard of Oz paradigm of control, structure and power fed/fueled by conditionalized smoke/fire and fear into a New Paradigm of light, energy and love that fed/fueled by an unconditional, mysterious random, open, free, intelligent force that has always supported everything. BTW, that lemon-green bike I took with me to Northwestern where it eventually was tossed into a dumpster years later. It was a french "Mercier". My father was into importing bikes at one time. And.....we still have that same black '49 MG. It's in absolute mint condition sitting in my mother's garage out in the great "Northwest" where I ended up going to high school before coming to Northwestern. Prediction: The Northwestern Wildcats will beat Nebraska tomorrow. And.....next year they will win the National Championship in a game against Notre Dame. I walked on Northwestern's football team as a quarterback in '76, then walked off after we played Notre Dame when Joe Montana, too, was a quarterback sitting on the sidelines wearing the same number 13 as I. I had this wild and crazy idea/vision that Northwestern would/could win the Rose Bowl three summers later for which I tried to walk back on to share with the other players. Got into a fight with the middle linebacker who was the ringleader of the negative non-team dark energy that prevailed in those days. They won their first game against Wyoming and then went on to set the all-time NCAA losing streak record. I am seriously happy to see this program really take off the way it has. There's an incredible, white-hot, spiritually positive and powerful energy here in Evanston and all across the country for this team and what they stand for. I love cats and 'wildcats' are THE most loveble cats in the world, but they are also incredibly powerful. This team has DESTINY written all over it, inside it and throughout it. All there's left to say is......... Peace. Light! GO!!
