The Alliance Pipeline capacity is 1.3 BCF, and it is "fairly" full from my understanding. The problem is how they got it. Someone here posted an article yesterday that claims they took contracts from other pipelines, mainly Trans Canada PipeLine (TCPL). This is supported by the fact that Western Alberta producers are going all out to raise production (and are not being very effective).

Bottom line is that there is probably about 1 BCF (my guess) of pipeline availability out there in western Canada. Hopefully one of our resident pipeline experts can clarify.

OT: Anyone else buying NETA today? I took an initial position at 3 7/8. I use and like their software. Definitely a longer term hold.
