"Network Associates, a maker of computer security software, was down at
$3.75 in Nasdaq pre-open trading from a Tuesday closing price of $11.75.

The company said after markets closed on Tuesday that it expected to post a
fourth-quarter loss of between $130 million to $140 million because of a
backlog in inventories.

Analysts on average had expected a profit of 31 cents a share, according to
research firm First Call/Thomson Financial.

The Santa Clara, Calif., company also said it planned to replace its chairman and chief executive, its president
and chief operating officer and the chief financial officer."
