Re: Digital TV - VOD Player CCUR

Thread- Just some PR out of CCUR to help boost their stock price. This is old news but re-released.

ftth- I'm beginning to think you hit the nail on the head about MSOs deliberately limiting the content available due to bandwidth constraints. I find myself really wanting to give TWX $5 for a VOD movie(especially since I've been sick the last couple of weeks), yet the content is so limited, I pass time and time again.

I did notice they seem to be rotating movies in and out on a regular basis. I'm assuming they must have a neat way of doing this from the Master Headend. And I'm assuming since it's Time Warner, they must have a huge amount of content available, yet they don't put much on worth paying for. I would say this has to be deliberate.

I'm also afraid to report, my TV signal(via the STB) goes out on a regular basis now. The STB reboots at least twice per day. Luckily it only takes about 30 seconds(as opposed to my desktop computer which takes 5 minutes twice per day) for it re-boot. I'm not sure if it's related to VOD hogging bandwidth or not. But the re-boots do seem to occur in the evenings when VOD users are probably watching. -MikeM(From Florida)
