I respectfully disagree. It is always a journalist's (print or tv) responsibility to put the interviewee's comments into context, i.e. their background, experience, biases, prejudices, etc. They just do an absolutely horrible job of it, and CNBC is just about the worst. It is more entertainment than journalism. I'm glad you say that. I thought it would be asking too much. I recall the time Bob Pisani was reporting on something regarding the Asian crisis and said with Edward R. Morrow seriousness, as if the world were coming to an end, "The consensus is. . .," and then a few beats later added, "at least for the moment." Consensus has a gnat's life. Pat
