That's a valid strategy, but there's a level of risk associated with it that's outside the range that the Gorilla Game advocates. We limit our plays in Royalty sectors to the King, who by definition has at least 2X the market share of their nearest competitor, and even then, we hold them lightly.

When you go to the track, do you ever bet on the favorite? Be honest <lol>.
