Thanks for the info, Duke. Doubt I'd even try NetZero, however. Use email for daily business and stay connected for up to 8-12 hours a day without interruption.

CAIS has been an unbelievable deal, moneywise and servicewise....I paid $130 for unlimited access in 2000. (No wonder the stock is trading at $1.00 right now...LOL)

I'll hate to see them bail out of the dial-up biz, but their primary biz plan is DSL, so it won't surprise me if they abandon their dial-up customers.

Don't plan to buy DSL for home-office use anytime soon, as long as dial-up works as well as it does.

Around here, you have a hard time getting DSL installed even if you buy it.
