Don't know if you saw the "Cheap Gas" thing in Barrons. Maybe you don't subscribe to that rummy paper. (Wife reads it only for the cartoons). In any case, one of the cheapest co's listed was T.BKP, which a private company, Hunt Oil, has just today made a lowball bid for. A joke bid, really. The reason I mention it is that if the shareholders deny it, I suspect that Hunt would be willing to raise the bid, and it's also possible that another bidder will come forth. The other scenario is that after the bid is rejected, Hunt dumps its shares and then BKP shareholders get taken to the woodshed, all the way wishing they had given into the joke offer. Of course, the next offer, months and months away, is then more palatable.

It's something I'm keeping an eye on, because BKP is the driller in one of NA largest NG prospects (and it's in California).
