Rod: Nice steady progress with HEC pricing since it hit it's recent tax loss selling lows. I'm pleased. Obviously, the shorts posting on Yahoo! are going bonkers with the improvement in pricing. Anyway, the feedback I received on this thread appears to be correct. I bought in a bit too early given that it was possible to buy below $3.00 per share during a fairly brief window. At this time, I remain optimistic for stability and improvement in the price of the stock. Of course, there are several things that could happen to dramatically improve the share price. And, admittedly, some things that could happen to hammer it further. But for now, I remain optimistic about the prospects for HEC during 2001.

Although North Slope Crude is priced ridiculously low relative to lighter crude oil, things are still going very well in Alaska. It seems as if the local economy will enjoy some healthy growth during the next few years. After the regional depression in the late 80's, some good times would be welcomed on the Last Frontier.

Anybody else have any thoughts regarding HEC's prospects for 2001. I realize there are some big issues to deal with (outstanding debt). But there are some very favorable issues at play as well.
