You are too optimistic. Thomas and Bork had impeccable reputations. They will bloody Ashcroft just for the fun of it. Its already started with his recasting as a "racist", despite the fact he has voted in favor of over 90% of the black judges whose nominations have been before his consideration and despite the fact that while Governor of MO, he appointed the first black appeals court judge. These people don't care about facts or competence. Witness the postings of the loony left like DJD on this board. JLA
