It looks like KDDI is having a little better December than November. They have added 422,000 new EZWeb customer so far this month vs. 355,000 total during Novemeber.

EZweb Subscribers Top 5 Million

TOKYO (Nikkei)--DDI Corp. (9433), known as KDDI, has announced Wednesday that subscribers to its EZweb cellular phone Internet service surpassed 5 million as of Sunday.

Subscribers can now access more than 500 different types of content through EZweb, which began service in April 1999. About a third of the cell phone subscribers within the KDDI group use EZweb.

NTT DoCoMo Inc.'s (9437) rival Internet service, i-mode, now has more than 16 million subscribers.
