"Correct me if I'm mistaken, but Eli has repeatedly said that the market
for high density flash will be capacity constrained for a long time.
Today's production was sold out probably 2-3 quarters ago, and no
announcements have been made suggesting anything has changed.
One report that was published a few months back talked about
high density flash capacity constraints through at least 2004."

I don't remember specific comments about the length of time
that capacity was expected to be constrained, but the fact
that they were booked out multiple quarters in advance suggested
the capacity was the limiting factor for the foreseeable future.
I am not sure if double-ordering or other tactics that are supposedly
relatively common to high demand electronics components could skew
this outlook. I believe Eli said he knew Hitachi's management
and felt they were cautious & conversative with build-out plans.
SanDisk must know something about Toshiba's plans given the planned JV.
I don't know what Samsung is capable of doing or how they factor
in here.
