As it turns out it appears that W-CDMA at IMT-2000 specified rates is (will be) on schedule.

I am sorry to say that Qualcomm appears to be replaying the scenario they played in print in January 1995 at CTIA when they told EVERY carrier in the US bidding for spectrum that GSM-1900 would be late and CDMA-1900 would be on time.

GSM-1900 was on time.

CDMA-1900 appeared 11 months later.

Dr. Irwin Jacobs. Number One Son Paul, and Perry LaForge continue to have major credibility problems in the worldwide wireless game.
