"Yhoo can stop being a free service "

I think they are starting to do that already. They
offer the basic mail system for free, but would
charge if you need more disk space.

Even $10 per subscriber for year would give YHOO
a fresh $1.8B revenue.

One more point about YHOO charging fees for its service.

I think everyone here paid GNET (now INSP) some
money to become a member of SI. Why? Because we all
love to talk about stocks. In fact, there are so
many free message boards out there for us to do
the same thing, yet, we choose to pay and stay here.

Why? Because we think (at least I think) this is the
best place to talk about stocks and the money is very
well spent.

YHOO has the similar power, and at much bigger scope.
