Me too on the gutting; it's hard to imagine this misery can rise from the ashes.

However, I vacillate between certain doom and slight optimism for G*. The service is very good and needed. Tons of time and money have been invested. Many new technologies take longer and have slow adoption rates in the beginning (remember the Apple Newton, VCRs, and currently DSL, and wireless webb???). What's important in nurturing these new infants is to have a cash cow to protect the parent and shareholders. This is where LOR/G* made a strategic mistake. Live and learn.
G* needs to work down the price curve and get the word out. I think it can and will be successful if they can do that. Of course shareholders may not see any rewards unless they buy stock in the new Globalstar. Bernie has always talked about Globalstar II; this wasn't what I thought he had in mind.
