So Warlock: you got lucky on calling a Nasdaq crash. Obviously you're quite proud of yourself. Will you get lucky twice? My drugstore 8-ball says no.

It's all about valuation and market share deterioration type of thing you know.

You have evidence to support an assertion of market share deterioration, do you? It's the entire Nasdaq's valuation that has taken a beating. I love it when people take credit for calling the decline of a particular stock in the midst of a crash.

*Msft will more than likely experience record growth in win2k sales during 2001

Big deal.

*Msft will beat revised estimates in January.

Big deal.

*Msft's Whistler due out sometime in 2001.

Windows 2000 was due out sometime in 1998 (as NT5).

*Msft's X-box due for delivery sometime late in 2001.

They might make some money on that...if it doesn't crash too often.

*Msft will prevail in its anti-trust suit -- with a most likely settlement in the coming months on the federal level with Ashcroft's appointment; who is most likely to "lighten" the Clinton/Reno malaise of their attack on msft.

Haven't been reading the wires today, eh Warlock? The stories are all called, "Don't expect Bush to drop MSFT suit" and so forth, viz. zdnet.com
Microsoft will win the suit because it will be reversed on appeal, already priced in LONG SINCE.

*.Net will be a huge long term success, which is in great part being underestimated today, to the demise of more than we realize today.

Oh.

*Stock price out-performance over sunw in the next 2 years will probably make most wish they had marked this post 2 yrs from now.

I marked it. Let's talk then.

*It's the Net, not Scott's vision of what HE wants. In other words, it's marketing stupid, again.

I said please no more Italian.

*Sunw's attack on msft HAS and WILL continue to haunt them for as long as the sunw shines bank on it. The dog is biting back, and biting back hard with vengeance.

That dog won't hunt. It's backed by evidence consisting of precisely nothing except the emotional statements of MsFT militia as they watch Steve Ballmer cut costs and lose his entire top management staff.

*(And this is the hard part -- but not anymore -g-) msft will soon commence in making serious inroads on sunw and orcl territory, in fact it's underway.

Gosh, you know in all my years of watching SUNW, I've never heard anybody say that before. I've got to hand it to you--you're original.

Enjoy chewing your cud in the greener pastures. I agree it will take a while to rebuild Sun's share price along with that of a lot of other techs, but let's just see about MSFT's explosive performance in 2001.

Happy Holidays
