Funny mushrooms aren't something that I have ever tried. Damn! But I did spend a year on Celexa (a Prozac competitor) and I found myself saying things that most people keep to themselves. I am sure that we most semi-longs are "totally ticked" right about now. I understand that many of my neighbors have been "crushed" by margin calls recently. One of these went from $12M to $12K in just a few weeks. These people don't need "funny mushrooms" to scream when their life savings have become bottom soil during a frozen winter. If you think that these are "off topic issues" for investors in a semi stock like SNDK, you must have smarter neighbors than I do. Or, you haven't bothered to talk to them recently. As I understand things, most people NEVER admit defeat in a public forum. So ... the people who wanted Nader to win (not me!) and the people who lost their arses in Semis and 'Nets, have stayed silent for the most-part. Thanks to "Celexa", I was able to openly scream, yell, rant, and rave about these issues. And not once did anyone ever send me a single private note telling me to shut up. I kept waiting for the clue , the limit ... and it didn't come. Regardless of the benefits, I never much liked being dependent on anything. So, I quit taking Celexa a week ago today. It took a while to wear off. I now accept GWB as our President. And I accept that the repricing of semis is an anachronism rather than something worth expending your life energy talking about. I feel pretty damn ordinary now. When you look at things with a cool mind, you come to wonder whether there is any reason or purpose in posting at SI. After all .. the analysts have their own agendas. Given DSL and cable, we don't know much that everyone in the world doesn't already know. Considering everything, the only thing that makes a post worth writing or worth reading is the emotion it exerts. Did it make you think? Did it make you act? Because if all you did was file it away, then -- IMHO -- that's one of those "off-topic" messages worth ignoring. I may post at SI in the future 1,000,000 times. Or I may never do it again. Only time will tell. I would appreciate your kind and/or nasty words by private email but -- for the sake of those with a blind eye -- please do not respond to this message via SI/SNDK. Craig
