Link below to article on China's evolving economy. Need to keep to Chinese oil consuming economy going strong. Does not look like Japan will be turning any time soon. California, is the problem that bad? You wont know how bad it is until prices go up and parents are vigilantly shutting off every electric devices that is not needed. I wonder how much could be shaved off of demand with a decent price increase. I remember when I was a kid we had a water shortage one summer in NJ. Fines were imposed for going over tight monthly allotments. We were all very vigilant about water use and never exceeded the ration. Where is the leadership in CA. calling for voluntary restrictions or imposing restrictions? nytimes.com
