Hi Charley, I have to admit I haven't read many you mentioned.. But to the ones I know, I read most of Steinbeck and IMO, his best was the "Log from the Sea of Cortez" and "Travels with Charley", I think it is called.. Mark Twain, not well read as I should be.. But "Letters from Hawaii"...was really good IMO.. Maybe because I bot it over there.. And had seen many of the places he talked about So you can see the trend here is I like nonfiction.And these writer's "take" on things at that particular time and in their space.. . And I tend to gravitate to what I like to hear.. just like everyone else.. And ole EA, what do you say.. His cause was environmentalism.. More Libertarian, I guess but from his personal point of view... Talk more later.. m
