Actually the water is brackish.......a mixture of fresh and salt water.

Were not actually fishing in the SF bay.......fishin the San Pablo bay......a little ways up from the SF bay.

Here is a pic of the the last sturgeon my brother caught.........BIG, ugly and still alive. They are prehistoric creatures.......survive just about anything. I doubt they have a problem with salt water. We always catch em in brackish or fresh though.
