I haven't read of one bad trade you've made

Yes I have admitted that AAPL was a damn bad trade. Lost money on it. Also FNV I gambled and lost.

OT> Wes, That was a very fair assessment, deserving of a serious soul-searching response.

OT - Wes, I for one have long stopped paying attention to Softtechie but your post caused me to respond

First, I believe Softtechie simply craves attention - so when people respond to him, either positively, negatively or however, they simply play into his hand

Second, as he has long exhibited here, and as your post touches on, Softtechie doesn't have many original thoughts. He repeats what is found elsewhere without much analysis on his own.

Third, as is evident, Softtechie is almost a pure short seller - and he always looks at the glass as half empty. As such, one of his, and his brethren's tools is to spread fear, rumors, and other comments to scare others to play into their shortselling hands. Now, please don't get me wrong, I am not saying people who short sell are all like this - but like those smart ones who play on the long side, the best short sellers know there is a time to be short and a time to be long. (For instance, Velo on Sharck's thread has been primarily short for a while now - but he is not a perma-bear, instead moving between short and long plays as he sees fit. He can see and profit from both sides and thus his calls cause me to pay attention, even if I may have a different point of view). However, it is those like Softtechie who are always bearish and others who are always bullish that you have to greatly discount what they say. The calls from Softtechie and others who job it is to either spread permanent fear or permanent bullishness should obviously be greatly discounted or discarded

Fourth, its long been my opinion, and your post hit on it well, that softtechie is just a short selling shrill getting his calls from some of the well known short sellers on the net - when you asked - "who's your daddy" - I think you hit the nail on the head !!!

It isn't surprising that you received a worthless response from Softtechie - after all, if my conjecture is correct, along with Rande's questions yesterday, we know Softtechie is simply a very young pawn repeating what calls he has received from the paid chat rooms and investment advisory service he belongs to without adding any of his own original thoughts because he really doesn't have any.

So it isn't surprising that softechie is afraid to disclose his age, experience, or "who's his daddy" - but now that many are on to him, I have to wonder if he believes he "rules the markets" - ya know what I am saying Softie - LOL

So, my advice is simply to pay little if any attention to old Softie - and don't give him the attention he craves by responding to him
