FST still moving up. Expect about $11 CFPS in 2001 so it should have a ways to go before catching up with peers.

Jane... there are good "buys" here - EEX is one of them imo

Yes - I did buy EEX today -patience nearly allways pays off; got a nice position at $4 7/16 and will sit for $3 1/2 to add on any negative drilling results if seen down the road...I am not worrying if this retraces to $3 -I'll keep averaging in slowly as it's a $8-$12 stock if things unfold for Llano et al. This has been a great trader for me more than a few times in the past; but there are rapidly approaching a critical point to where Llano could take them to a new higher level & never turn back - even become a quick takeout play imo.

I think it's one of the very few E&P stories that has the ability to "double" from here even into declining crude oil and Nat Gas prices in 2001 - as the potential to add to reserves & future production via Llano et al play out...

The Tesoro acquisition will prove to be a savior & while Hamilton has had his share of miscue's - it remains a potential homerun exploration story... Capt Freddy on the Yahoo EEX thread & a few others there have followed the story from way back... Ole' Big Dog & a few others here have owned & traded it as well in the past here... EEX is far from a "new" story here.

Some of the small & micro-cap stories others have brought to light here are the "niche" within the E&P's than will be able to go against the grain in 2001 imho.

I also have bought a few others who have financially damaged balance sheets and for whom this Nat Gas windfall is not so much a matter of pumping cfps & eps numbers allowing them further speculative upside; as it is paying down debt & generating Cap Ex capital in which to ramp up drilling and to be able to do a little "exploration" versus just "exploitation" drilling and to most importantly - repair themselves financially. I bought another small cap MLRC of late & move in & out of it with some trading - but; view it as another company with the potential to move against the grain & substantially so.

But; I am salivating & chomping at the bit to short the EOG's, FST's, HSE's, BRR's, TMBR's soon, very soon...

I'm staying disciplined with still lots of cash & resisting temptation to buy more nice Oilpatch laggards like SCSWF WG and I really think the offshore drillers will be "THE" story in the Spring Oilpatch Rally - as long as we don't have a "crash landing" to the US Economy this spring... my calls are basically in the GOM drillers - MRL especially - caught some at $20ish.

I am waiting with the majority of my cash however; as I see the potential for the "mother of all buying/trading" opps in Tech yet to come and I want significant funds to play that - and to potentially buy/trade yet another strong pullback in the Oilpatch off another leg to this broad market Bear...

I like having "all the options" that lots of cash brings... and I WILL make 50-75% on the shortside of my Nat Gas forray...these will rollover bigtime - hard & fast... the top will either be off a "California Crisis-event meltdown; or a late Winter Perfect Storm & Q-4 earnings reporting (which I think will be sold into) - so I am hoping something collapses/comes to a true crisis point in California (if it's going to) prior to Q-4 reporting actually...

I'm going out for an errand... I've been twitching on shorting BRR & TMBR today... my gut says do it; my brain says wait (VBG)~ - I want to nail 'em short today badly... 10 x cfps here - at the very least; too far too fast imho... and 9 mos out; they won't be here anywhere near these levels - these get cut by 1/2 to 2/3rds hard & fast on the subsector rollover... Lot's of "hot money" flowed in here of late to these stocks and "hot" money is TEMPORARY money - allways has been & allways will be.

Lots of institutions want to show these "winners" on their books - it is near criminal what mutual fund managers do.. they are paid to allways be basically fully invested - with OPM - it's insane...who the @$)#@N is buying TMBR & BRR here ?!!?!? It amazes me that a company/stock like TLM is sitting at the valuation its at - while TMBR & BRR get run to blue sky - but; I've got the laser light crosshairs on 'em & they aint getting away... it's when, not if - they die a horrible short selling death (VBG)~ and I'll be there - bank on it.
