How about the cost of shipping a 21 inch TV, or a 48 inch TV or tools which are very heavy, or ...?

Good points. However it is not so clear that the revenue will be lower, as I believe sales of electronic items must have moved up as compared to last year....

This is true until they ran out. They underinventoried this category. I also know no more inventory could be located for them in most of that category.

I've been trying to figure out the exact cost of this... What is the average cost of shipping $100 of books? $100 of cookware? $100 of Palm III computers?

Shipping fees I suspect around $6.00 assuming there was some insurance. The fuflillment costs is the big one here. Not just the labor but the supplies such as boxes, tape, etc.
