So you are one of us now Mr. Pass Pass (said with a heavy German accent)? At ten bucks a share I think this is a no brainer. But then again, I also thought that at $15. Too many uses for Cyberdisplay to write this company off even if everyone chucked their digital handsets into the nearest trash bin and vowed never to use them again.

Right now, KOPN's fortunes (stock price) seem to be linked pretty strongly to tech in general and then wireless companies after that. What we need is a catalyst to get the ball rolling. Got to think - what will get things moving again, Batman. Ah! 3G and wireless internet access!

Wallstreet needs to see the direct link between owning tech stocks and beefy year-end bonuses before things will really get moving again. Right now the sector is under-performing and there are few IPO or other I-bank opportunities. But what is under-performing one year, may eventually become the contrarian or value play of the next year with really good growth potential.

Don't expect a quick turn-around out of KOPN or any tech stock. We need to see some positive earnings announcements before any heavy hitters will dip their toes in the water. For that matter, even the sell-side analysts have run for cover - just take a look at the plethora of downgrades that get issued on a daily basis. Nearly all of them are for tech stocks. Its hard to believe that less than a year ago some of these guys were hyping the same stocks at unbelievable price levels. Never buy when your broker says buy unless you like being led to slaughter like the rest of the sheep. (as a side note - I don't use a full service broker but read the reports of their analysts extensively and after many years of seeing the same pattern evolve, I can conclude only one thing: They only recommend stocks after they've gone up, and, only downgrade after they've come down and all the damage has been done.)

Best of luck to you pass pass, hey aren't you in JBL as well?

> there is a possibility that I-mode will interrupt 3G technology and dominate the US

In my opinion imode will accelerate the introduction of 3G - I cannot see any argument why imode should interrupt the introduction of 3G! 3G (broadband) refers to the lower (technology) layers of the communication infrastructure - imode is primarily a brand name for consumer marketing in Japan of wireless internet access. DoCoMo and others can sell all sorts of wireless internet access and other goods and services under the imode name, including 3G, 4G, 5G etc. So if anything imode's success accelerates the introduction of 3G - at least in Japan.
