Although some arabs have a wish to drive Israel into the sea, in order to take back the land they consider theirs, most arabs in the region would be happy to see Israel reduced to the limits set out in the original UN resolution that defined the borders. Israel justified their aggressive expansion with the need to create a buffer zone between their original borders and the arab neighbours that attacked them. They might get some mileage out of this claim if they didn't insist on building residential settlements in those buffer zones. Thats is what is really getting the Palestinians angry, especially those that were forced off their land by the Israelis.

Dear yaacov: If I move there will you call me "John of Arabia" has a ring to it dont you think? Look, this business has been going on all my life, I doubt it will end in a few days just to make Clinton look good. Its my personal FEELING, I of course have NO WAY OF KNOWING that there are people, probably on both sides, who DO NOT WANT PEACE ever. I dont know the answers and its beginning to look as though no one else does either. Frankly, I think its disgusting. My wife and I would like to visit the Holy and Historic sites in that area of the world but we do not feel safe enough to go. Now is that a Hell of a thing. Many of the major Religions of the World trace their beginnings to that area and its among the most dangerous. Doesnt seem very religious to me. JDN
