Now we get tomorrow with its very high probablity of being an up day.

One myth we should dispense with right off the bat - I've been hearing
people talking about how the day before New Years is traditionally up. Maybe
if you go back 50 or more years there is a statistical edge, but recently
it's been anything but a sure thing. In fact the day before New Years has
been a down day in the S&P in six of the past eight years.
