If I remember my recent history...Jordan did make peace with Israel, only to be attacked by Syria. It was Israel that came to the aid of Jordan. Even more recently Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Syria turned down the anti-Israel retoric to guard against a greater "evil," Saddam Hussein.

So peace can be made!

The problem, as I see it, is that there are thoses (from both sides) who would stir old conflicts in order to gain more power in the today, at the cost of the commoners.

To blame either one side or the other is just stoking the fire. For peace to prosper, we need to look to the future and put behind us the grudges of the past.

As for your comment about killing...the quote "Kill them all, for God knows his own!" was made by a crusader king to his knights when sacking a city in the Holy Lands. It made no difference if the inhabitant was Christian, Jew, or Muslim.
