SUF NEWS RELEASE SouthernEra Resources Limited 12/28/00 - Completes Flow Through Financing for 2001 Exploration SOUTHERNERA RESOURCES LTD ("SUF-T;SOARF-L") - Completes Flow-Through Financing for 2001 Exploration SouthernEra has closed a C$1.65 million flow- through financing consisting of 733,333 units priced at C$2.25 per unit. Each unit comprises one flow-through common share plus half of a common share purchase warrant. The warrants are exercisable at C$3.00 per share for one year, and the resulting shares confer no tax benefits to the purchaser. Proceeds from this financing will be used to fund the Company's 2001 Canadian exploration program. The funds will be allocated to those exploration projects which have the greatest potential to enhance shareholder value. The financing was arranged by First Associates Investments Inc. of Toronto and was placed with a single Canadian institutional investor. SouthernEra Resources Limited is a diamond mining and exploration company and an emerging platinum group metals producer.
