* OT Steve there is not such a land as Palestine it was invented by the Romans to oppress the people who rose against them in ancient Israel and punish them for bringing the Christianity to life by the most popular Jew in history to which worship home I hope you go. As to those Arabs living now or demanding to live in what is Israel they arrived there after the Jews started to settle in bigger numbers, about 100 years ago and the Brits started to develop military bases and ports. The development provided a new place to work for people who were driven out from their own homes for a variety of reasons from Egypt or the greater Arabia (there were no countries like now then) and settled in what is now Israel and Jordan. The Temple mount was Jewish until the Romans destroy it, then the "New Roman Christians apx. 350 AD" build a Church on temple Mount, afterwards the Arabs converted it to a Mosque apx 650 AD and during the Crusaders it was again Christian. So no claim fro the Arabs even there. Further Jerusalem is not mentioned not even once in the Koran but Mecca and Medina hundreds of times. Jerusalem was picked as a "Holly Site" for Muslims as a revenge against the Christians that is all. As such they invented and interpreted some dream of Mohammed to claim "Holly" a structure that actually was a Church build on the ruins of the Jewish Temple. So no cigar for those Arabs claiming what is not theirs ....... and guess what was the big mosque in Instambul???? .....a Church I rest my case <GGG>
