That's one more reason why stocks should run in early January and why we shouldn't hold too long

one other thing your post made me think of...

If mutual funds are selling losers in early January, and institutions typically don't buy anything under $5...

...and if the kill of the "B" stocks happens like you say, it might be safe to buy quality that's left priced over $5--funds have to put the money somewhere. if it's a tech fund, for instance, they have to put the money in a tech over $5--right?
