It is really romantic sentimentalism to think that artists are better off starving.

Hmmmm...it seems rather silly to entertain an idea that anyone is better off starving: Certainly not bakers or plumbers, or weathermen. Perhaps ranchers or strippers? No--not even them.

The argument from starvation. Haven't heard that for awhile! Good morning.

I don't believe I said artists are better off starving. I won't argue that money is a good thing.

Whether a peer panel decides or a bureaucrat decides, it is still government approved art.
