from briefing.com:

IBM (IBM) 85 1/4 +9/16: Prudential lowered its Q4 revenue estimate to $24.5 bln from $25.3 bln, citing expected weakness in the company’s PC, HDD and s/w businesses... PC business will likely be closer to flat sequentially versus Prudential's original estimate for 13% growth... Expects this will result in a $550 mln revenue shortfall... Separately, Wit SoundView reiterated its STRONG BUY rating and price target of $140... After recent checks on IBM's fourth quarter progress, firm reported that they find a number of areas performing well and they are becoming more comfortable that the company will not only meet earnings estimates, it should come in close to consensus revenues of around $25 billion... Believes stock is currently oversold and that by meeting consensus estimates it will exceed expectations, thereby providing a positive catalyst for the stock

WitSoundView stated the same earlier regarding Dell. Someone is right, someone is wrong.
