I just got off the phone with a guy that has a very large portfolio of non-tech stocks long-term. He's waited until today to sell a bunch of stuff so he won't pay taxes until next year. (trade date + 3 days = settlement date...Jan 1, 2001) I wonder if there are more people like him.
