I've always thought that 7-11 is a bad business to be involved with.

I think more a more relevant comparison is something like Nike.

Yes, but shouldn't one expect that correction to happen with any company's share price? The thing to consider is whether the share price correction is permanent based on a change in the way the company does business or in the way the market perceives the company, or whether the correction is based on short-term market dynamics (buying opportunity).
