And in a lot of cases they don't want the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. I've been coached in depositions and court testimony to only say certain things.

You're not really trying to defend the honesty of lawyers, are you?

It takes remarkable intellectual honesty to be a great lawyer.

thats the funniest thing i've heard in a long time.

Reminds me of David Boise saying count all the votes in public, then arguing against full recounts:

In Judge Sauls Court
In front of Florida Supreme Court
In front of SCOTUS

rofl

Edit: I will give Lawrence Tribe a bit of credit though, he had the integrity to step out of the fray when he knew how unconstitutional his position would have been. The Gore team explaination that Boise was more familiar with FL law was 100% US Grade AAAA BS

Lawyers are in a profession that the privilege they have with client gets in the way of intellectual honesty. That's not wrong, that the law and that's a fact. Engineers are not legally bound to the rights of a single individual or groups and thus are by circumstance in the position of being more intellectually honest. Also Engineers are far more expert with more first hand experience in understanding what physical evidence really means. Success at creating products that actually work for even the most clueless is a self evident proof of this. Lawyer are in general in a more visible position to say what sounds good selected from what they have been told.

Rapist's Murder's Child Molester's Woman who decide to have the brains sucked out of the child growing within them, Clinton, Sore, and last but scummy least Loserman all deserve and have a right to have the best legal representation in preventing them from being convicted of the crime of being total dirtbags. Lawyer are charged with this responsibility working within a system holding to it's rules.
Engineers are free to objectively look at the facts and come to conclusions beyond any reasonable doubt to any who have any common sense and a tiny little bit of intellectual honesty.

The argument put forth by Boise representing Gore and Loserman and every as in 100% of the democrats who stood by this technically absurd chad tuff to punch legal argument proves to this ( the OFFICIAL Silicon Investor WaCkY MarKEtZoiD En-Gin_EaR EXTRODINAIRUS) the total lack of a hint of technological understanding or clear consistent and pervasive acceptance of intellectual dishonesty in the use of means to get to an acceptable end. This I define as the vacant liberal mind.

What's really cool thought is that Janet Reno did something that I think was moral and right and legal in returning Juan to his father. Thank's Janet for bringing the White hats back to the White House. Thank God for the butterfly ballot.
