Samuel:
You have been a blessing to me this year as well. Thank you for your blessings as well. I believe you when you say that this has been a hard year. But just as Job in all his dialogue with God was never offered sympathy from God , nor was he offered an explanation that God and Satan had an almost 'wager' with each other about the eventual outcome of Job's trials, and just about the only explanation that Job was given was that his faith was being tested and God never explained to him the 'why' of the test;; so to all this I can say that you should not count on an in depth explanation from God about the whys?? of the trials of this year. He is God , He is in control and He runs His universe as he sees fit. But what you do see from the book of Job is that we have a God that is intimately involved in the lives of His saints, He is willing to listen to almost any plea we have , although He reserves the right to reject any plea we might have; again He is God . He almost enjoys the dialogue of our suffering, he sets our enemies straight and will not allow our enemies to overstep pre-set boundaries He has set. He is not offended, and almost encourages our most outlandish observation of our own suffering. He is God and short of 'cursing'God to His face, Job passes the trials that God preset, and refused to the bitter end that................my most important point............that He did nothing to deserve the trials that God let him endure. Yes we all sin . Yes Job was probably the most righteous man that lived on the planet in that time .But No. Job was not perfect. But Job was adamant that He did not deserve the suffering.

My question to you today is that if Job was adamant that he did not deserve his suffering, we under Christ, should be MORE ADAMANT that we do not deserve our suffering. Are we not clothed in the righteous robe of Christ, are we not forgiven of all sins past present and future.

Samuel; I am more adamant than I HAVE EVER BEEN IN MY Christian life to make constant pleas to God the Father that I do not deserve the suffering that I or we are enduring as Christians. I shall make it my new years resolution. I know that God shall be God . But I shall be me and for purposes of Christian maturity I find that it brings maturity to the Christian process. I do not fully comprehend what God is telling me yet, but it all boils down to salvation, in Christ and our new identities that God expects us to live in Him. I fully believe that it was necessary for Job to have that 'attitude', and I fully believe that we must have that attitude with God to be blessed to the fullest extent that God will bless us. We have to know that we know that the blood of Christ, is in and of itself enough to present ourselves """"BLAMELESS"""""" before god ......In Christ ...gregor
