OT:
I think we're going to need some fundamental physics- -new discoveries. New propulsion methods. Without that, it is going to remain too expensive to get significant numbers of people and amounts of materials to the places in space where they are needed.

Travel by solar sail will be slow. Might be good for cargo, but not for people.
