Its not that I dont like the porsche, I do I just dont like the Twin Turbo. I think the base car is more fun to drive, especially a conv. I do feel the 993 were a much better made car. There is to much plastic, and the door closing makes a clatter instead of a clunk. However Benz has the same problem. I also am a big guy 6'2 230 and the 996/993 is a litlle tight for me. Also the Ferrari(new ones modena)are trully AWESOME. I have owned alot of cars, and that is the only one that gets me lathered up for sheep<g>

There's lots of competition around that make the differential much less than it used to be... BUT, you can't beat the service and attitude of a German involved in Automobiles... and it still translates into the best driving experience around IMO. That said, I AM a bit disturbed that the guys with cigars are screwing with success... ie. buying Chrysler and Porsche building an SUV instead of sticking to their ever more competitive niche.
