Elmer,

I believe the RS package is supplied by Starband and as you say, they sell it with a preconfigured Compaq PC. However, the website offers a package where you can use it with an existing box. It is a two way system, no dialup needed as with the DirecPC setup. The details are at:

starband.com

Regards,
John

With satellite links, there is an automatic 240 mS penalty in latency as the data needs to be sent to and from the satellite. This is a serious problem for anything needing two way communication (as then the latency would be 500 mS in addition to that accumulated by other sites).
