Thinking out loud. I have 4000 shares of Cree. If I sell it and take the loss against against other trading gains it will save me about $11,400 in s.t. cap gain taxes.
The $11,4m it saves me in taxes divided by the 4000 cree is about $2.85 per share. I am thinking Cree will move $ 5 per share or more before I could get back in (31 days), so I might as well hold it, sell some otm calls in April and let it pay the taxes later. / does this make sense ?

Airplane invariably brings on Audit

As does a yacht.

I just got done emailing and faxing a REAL NASTY letter to Sea Ray, Marine Max(the dealer) and their local store here in Sac. Their warranty and service department just plain sucks. Their problem here is they are selling too many boats and they don't have enough people to handle it.

Good thing the boat is good quality.

I'm feather rufflin this morning.

I feel better now. <g>
