Sure, Pete. Flushing money down the toilet is always intelligent, as long as it's in service of the great senilator's movie fantasies. It took 10 years to get to the moon. All this ABM stuff has been in development for 30 or 40 years at least, and there's still no sign that a reliable system can be build. Doesn't much matter when it's a good Republican military industrial complex pork barrel operation, though. We may as well build it anyway. Hundred billion here, hundred billion there, it might be real money even under Everett Dirksen's definition, but who cares?
