Nokia To Supply GPRS Core Network to China Mobile Communications Corporation

HELSINKI, Finland--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 29, 2000--Nokia has signed an agreement with China Mobile Communications Corporation (CMCC) to supply GPRS Core network infrastructure for four provincial networks.

Beijing Nokia HangXing Telecommunications Systems Co., Ltd., one of Nokia's Joint Ventures in China will be responsible for overall implementation and the whole system is targetted to be operational at the beginning of next year.

As a world leading GSM and GPRS network supplier, Nokia will provide strong support for our customers.
