Dear Gemini: Agreed, both of us have HAD THE EXPERIENCE so we RESPECT those migrant farm workers and the contribution they make to OUR lifestyle. The problem is there really is no solution. If their pay were raised to respectable limits then small farms would go under to larger cooperatives that use MACHINE labor rather than human labor. THAT VERY THING has happened in S. Fla. The Sugar Plant farms switched to machines a few years ago. Previously they brought in thousands from the Carribean to harvest the sugar cane every season. Actually, the loss of those wages hurt the Carribean economy. JDN
