Actually, I think the basis of natural selection in biology is very natural in observation by Darwin. But once people applied the theory in human beings in early 1900s, they were shocked and thought they better took military action against someone before they got you. The overwhelming majority power by force is what you have to watch out for. Minority opinion may not be truly represented even nowadays. That's why we see so many conflicts between races and religions. Just my 2-cents.
