SDMC slots also hold MMC.
Palm has already announced SDMC
in the next generation of devices.
SanDisk has the opportunity to balance
production of SDMC vs. MMC based on
anticipated demand. I suspect a lot
of thought will go into the decision making.
Until digital rights have solidified
the scales tip in favor of MMC.

I think that's a great start.

I don't think anyone is expecting SDMC sales to rocket
just because of the nascent demand in thehandset market.
Clearly there needs to be an application to drive demand.
And that application needs to be compelling.

I still am trying to remain focused on burgeoning markets
at hand: digital cameras, MP3 and handheld devices.

The handset market will likely be a megamarket for SanDisk
in the future. I think the continued maturation of digital
photography, digital audio, and digital (portable) data
management will serve as test grounds for the handset market.

Recall that non-volatile memory cards are a relatively new
concept for most consumers. We need to give them a chance
to absorb the medium conceptually before drawing any final
conclusions.
