Thanks, A.W. We have company for the weekend, a couple we've know for years. It's the one time of the year I play pinochle. (MrL and the other couple taught me the game. Naturally, the guys played it for $$$ in the service and the wife grew up in the midwest where obviously there is nothing else to do on cold nights-ggg) Me--Never heard of the game before, so I always get a cheat sheet to remind me of the point values. The marriage preservation angle is that it's guys vs. girls so MrL and I are not on the same team. I'd much rather gloat than be the cause of a loss. <g>
