As a person who almost qualifies as a non-donut eater this company mystifies me. Breakthrough technology in donut land is hard to see and how in da hell is this price where it is.

Been traveling a lot and perhaps this is a donut culture thing that escapes me and if that is the case I must apologize. The only other thing is are the donuts that good that aficionados see this stock as a must buy and hold? Is this company the Holy Grail of donuts?

If it is none of the above then I can only see Mr Burns gumming his way through a dozen or two soon. I just seem not to understand this donut thing

Mr. Burns,

wouldn't it be easier to sell this and buy something else over that 20 years?

In a word, "No." But that's more a reflection on my trading skills than anything else. Now, if I was this guy . . . Message 15095715

Overpriced food and food that sells at a relatively high profit-margin are two different things. Krispy Kremes sell at a relatively high profit-margin but cost about the same as their tooth-breaking, turd-tasting competitors.

See ya in a year to see where you're at on your dollar cost averaging.

Deal.

Happy New Year to you and if you really want to learn about doughnuts ask that employee of yours named Simpson.

Overpriced food, well you'll see more than your share of non-smiling faces when a KK first opens and people find out they get to pay double or more what it costs at their current favorite place to be a part of the mania.

NOT!

Here's the score: Krispy Kreme $1.46. Local Mom and Pop $1.93!

Krispy Kreme wins by .47!!!!!!!!!!!

This price is based on two glazed doughnuts and a medium coffee. By the way, Krispy Kreme gives you 12 ounces of coffee. Mom and Pop? Well, they only give you nine.

Yeah, but what about the quality of the two products? You get what you pay for don't you? Not with my local Mom and Pop, you don't. Krispy Kreme is soooooo much better a direct comparison is totally unfair. Poor ol' Mom and Pop must change their frying oil once a year whether it needs it or not. And I'm pretty sure Pop's cutting costs by filtering his coffee through his underwear.

That's the end of my local market research involving eating substandard fare. Quality matters. I won't stoop so low as to buy donuts and coffee from the local supermarket. If you have the courage to eat some other doughnut than a Krispy Kreme, you have my admiration - and my pity.
